Women's Day is a holiday celebrated in the former USSR and in China. It's similiar to Mother's Day only it's for all women. Traditionally you buy the women flowers and candy to celebrate. Plus it's a day off work! For church the day before the men threw us a celebration with food that we didn't cook : ) (always nice). So I though you would enjoy some pictures as you can see some of the faces and of course the food. |

| And this is Ales' mom, Liudmila. Isn't she beautiful? She normally doesn't let me take her picture, so I'm glad I got it this time. I wish I had one of her and my own mom together : ) |

| Everybody enjoyed the food of course... and that is Ales' dad in the middle right - far right with the glasses. He doesn't normally wear them, so I had to snap one while he read the ingredients in the juice. (to see if it had preservatives I'm sure) |

| Op! Time for dessert... I'm not much of a cake person (unless I make it hehe), so I ate the chocolates. |

And so it was a good day. Not JUST because of the food, but, you know, the fellowship too! So concluded the women's day. But as Ales says, it shouldn't conclude - it should be all year long. (at least he should have said it) xoxo |

Thanks Lana : ) I had considered a divider, but seeing as I'm limited on space I chose to forgo it ...
And Vera is a sweetie, I think she's warming up to me, even tho I can't understand her! : )))
Very good set of pictures! Especially considering the light was probably tricky, you did great, wonderful photojournalistic series. You should steal Vera for a day and take a ton of her pictures, she is so adorable and seems to like her picture taken. The only thing I would consider is maybe making borders between the pictures in the collage, because they are competing for attention a bit, or perhaps a slideshow. Just my two kopeks ;)
