Vanilla Sugar

Sugar with a hint of color and the scent of vanilla. Many European recipes call for vanilla sugar and in the States many people don't have it one hand. (they sell it in little packets here) So now you can make your own! This is a great way to use up a vanilla bean that you would normal just throw away. Plus it only takes a few minutes!

Dark Chocolate Crepes with Vanilla Creme Filling and Strawberries

Ales only has one requirement for his food - that it contains LOTS of protein. Which is why I made these crepes while he was gone. Not that they don't have some protein, but well, it's like dessert for breakfast. So when he got back and had them after all, then told me that they were "awesome crepes" - I was very surprised (he isn't usually so excited for food)! He was hungry soon after, but at least he loved them!

Mom's Pepperoni Bread

Published in

One of my favorite memories in a yummy chewy roll. My mom would make this with spaghetti and we loved it. So much that many times we would just eat it by itself with some marinara sauce.

Try it. You'll love it too. I promise!

Thanks Mom, for making this bread for us, and for being who you are (including a great cook!)- I love you!
